Domaine Clarisse de Suremain

About Clarisse
Clarisse de Suremain grew up in Burgundy, in a family with roots in the vines of Monthelie and Rully. She left for a different life — years as a classical pianist, then a master's degree and a stint in consulting — before a chance encounter with winemaker Richard Leroy pulled her back to where she truly belonged.
In 2019, she received her first parcels in Pommard and Volnay — Aligoté and Gamay that a previous owner didn't see the value in. She did. Trained by her uncle Éric de Suremain, mentored by David Didon at Château de Puligny and by Thomas Pico in Chablis, she built a small domaine of around 2.5 hectares farmed entirely by organic and biodynamic principles.
Her wines are honest, precise, and deeply rooted in place — made with minimal intervention, no chemical additives, and a quiet conviction that the best Burgundy doesn't need to announce itself.
